Haris Christodoulou
Passion for Hip – Hop

Haris Christodoulou was born and raised in Limassol. His love for the arts was evident from a very early age. Dance and theater entered his life from the school age. He choreographed groups until high school and has excelled in dance competitions by winning several awards. In high school he won the Pancyprian Dance Competition of the Ministry of Education in the individual – modern category. He has been teaching hip hop since his was 16.

Haris is now in Cyprus and has his own dance and theater workshop. He raises his own performances where he writes scenarios, directs and choreographs with his students and professional actors, musicians and singers. Haris students had the opportunity to join Despina Vandi in some of her appearances in Cyprus, since Haris is now choreographing her performances on our island. Haris also appeared at the Mega Cyprus charity show Dansing for you.

Training

He participated in competitions in Cyprus and abroad. From an early age he participated in theatrical performances (children’s, musicals) and in the Pancyprian theater competition of THOK he decides to follow his dream and reaches Athens to study in a dramatic school.

Arriving in Athens he begins his collaboration as a dancer of Despina Vandi. He has worked with various choreographers in Athens for television commercials and concerts. He appears on the stage of Eurovision in 2011 as a dancer and backing vocals with the colors of Armenia.

Hip – Hop

Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture.
